Note: By default, Glow will only show your Public Slack channels in Uptime > Alerts. Follow the steps below to learn how to show and post to Private Slack channels.
Step 1
Make sure you have already connected your Slack workspace to your Glow account.
In your Slack workspace, find the Private channel that you want Glow to send Uptime notifications to and click into it.
Step 2
In the top right corner of the channel, click on the avatars of the people in the channel. This will open a popup box in the middle of the screen.
Step 3
In the popup box, click on the Integrations tab.
Step 4
On the Integrations tab, you’ll see a section for Apps. Click on the Add apps link.
Step 5
The popup box will now expand and you’ll see a list of apps, starting at the top with those already connected to your workspace. Glow Bot will be listed here. Find it and click the Add button to the right side.
Step 6
You’ll now be taken back to the channel and you’ll see a notification confirming that Glow Bot has been added.
You will now be able to choose this channel in Glow, so that Uptime notifications can be posted there.
Note: If you still do not see your Private Slack channel listed in Glow after following the steps above, disconnect your Slack workspace and then connect it again. You should then see your Private Slack channel listed.
