If your client’s website is running through Cloudflare, chances are that it will be blocking Glow’s access to both retrieve the latest data from WordPress and to run updates.
To fix this, you’ll need to whitelist Glow’s IP address in Cloudflare.
Step 1
Login to Cloudflare, find the website that’s blocked and open the Security section of the menu on the left side.
Step 2
Click on WAF and then Tools from the tabs across the top.
Step 3
Scroll down to the IP Access Rules section and in the box labelled IP, IP range, country name, or ASN, paste our IP addres: 18.171.1.94.
Choose Allow from the Action dropdown menu and then either All websites in account or This website from the Zone dropdown menu.
Click the blue Add button on the right side to finish.
You’ll now see our IP address listed below.
Step 4
Give it a few minutes to kick in and then retry the updates in Glow. You should now see them complete successfully.
