Note:<\/strong> By default, Glow will only show your Public<\/code> Slack channels in Uptime<\/code> > Alerts<\/code>. Follow the steps below to learn how to show and post to Private<\/code> Slack channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Make sure you have already connected your Slack workspace<\/a> to your Glow account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In your Slack workspace, find the Private<\/code> channel that you want Glow to send Uptime notifications to and click into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the top right corner of the channel, click on the avatars of the people in the channel. This will open a popup box in the middle of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the popup box, click on the Integrations<\/code> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the Integrations<\/code> tab, you’ll see a section for Apps<\/code>. Click on the Add apps<\/code> link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The popup box will now expand and you’ll see a list of apps, starting at the top with those already connected to your workspace. Glow Bot<\/code> will be listed here. Find it and click the Add<\/code> button to the right side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You’ll now be taken back to the channel and you’ll see a notification confirming that Glow Bot<\/code> has been added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will now be able to choose this channel in Glow, so that Uptime notifications can be posted there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> If you still do not see your Private<\/code> Slack channel listed in Glow after following the steps above, disconnect your Slack workspace<\/a> and then connect<\/a> it again. You should then see your Private<\/code> Slack channel listed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
